What is virtual physiotherapy care?
Virtual care is a visit between patients and/or members of their circle of care, that occurs remotely, through secure teleconferencing software. Its aim is facilitate or maximizing your outcomes with physiotherapy care. But what it can also mean for you is:
What injuries can be managed by your physiotherapist with virtual physiotherapy care?
Why virtual physiotherapy care?
The Covid pandemic has pushed physiotherapy clinics to rethink how they deliver care to patients. Patients who may not be able to physically attend their appointment can continue to require care for issues that a physiotherapist can help with. Technology allows to help bridge a face-to-face visit. Physiotherapy assessment and treatment can be provided solely through virtual means, or as a combination to your in-person care through "hybrid" model of service between you and your physiotherapist.
What do I need to participate?
Our secure virtual platform is safe and easy to use. One simple click lets you interact with the clinician for your future appointment. All you need is a device with a high-speed internet connection, connected video camera / smart device, and a quiet/secure place where you can see your physiotherapist safely. When calling to book your physiotherapy, please let our staff know that you may be interested in seeing your physiotherapist virtually. NOTE: It is advised that patients who may be attending with a third-party insurer providing covered for their visits to confirm with their insurer that they support seeing your physiotherapist virtually.
